Our Team

Mikayla founded Aerial Enchantment in 2018 to bring together her love for aerial arts and her passion for teaching kids. She envisioned a welcoming space where kids could feel safe, supported, and free to express themselves.

With over 10 years of teaching experience, Mikayla specialises in Aerial Silks, Hammock, Lyra and Contortion. Her training includes certifications in Silks, Lyra, Trapeze, Tumbling and Acro through Circus Training Australia, as well as being a certified AntiGravity Instructor.

Mikayla’s background also includes a Certificate III in Childcare, reflecting her love of working with young children. As a mum to 3 young kids, Riley, Amelia and Isla, Mikayla deeply understands the importance of creating a nurturing environment where kids can grow in confidence and build friendships. She is dedicated to helping kids and teens discover their passion in a community that feels like home.

Laura began her aerials journey in 2018 as one of Aerial Enchantment’s first hammock students. After a few years of hard work, and falling in love with trapeze, she is now one of our instructors! She loves introducing students of all ages and abilities to aerials. When not hanging upside down, she can usually be found cuddling her beloved cat, Stormy.

Cate has been doing trapeze for 5 years now and Lyra for about 2 years, she competed in the NSW heat at miss lyra 2019 in the Showtime Category. She has done performances on trapeze and some lyra. Cate also has 25 years of experience in ballroom dancing. Cate started teaching aerials at the beginning of 2020 and loves transferring her silks and knowledge to new students. Everyone will find out her love for her doggy taco…. one of the loves of her life as well as her husband

Grace found her passion for aerials 5 years ago when she was looking for a new fitness challenge after 12 years of netball. She has focused mostly on hammock and silk but has also trained in trapeze and Lyra. Grace is a keen foodie and enjoys having a laugh. She is excited to join the Aerial Enchantment team and hopes to bring plenty of laughs to her students. 

Shelley’s passion for movement started when she was young when her mother enrolled herself and her younger sister in dance classes. This began a 14 year journey of learning, performing – and loving – jazz & tap. After a hiatus from movement where she was working and travelling, she found aerials and never looked back! For the last four years she has trained mainly in Lyra and Trapeze and has competed in Halloween Heaven 2019 on Lyra and performed at the Australian Circus Festival in 2019 as part of a group act on Pentagram. Shelley is excited to join the Aerial Enchantment team and share her love of Aerials with wonderful students!

Hannah has been doing aerials for 6 years, with experience across silks, trapeze and lyra. She loves performing, and some highlights include performing at the Australian Circus Festival in 2019, Eternity Showcase in 2021, receiving the title of Most Creative Performance, and placing first runner up in the 2021 Miss Lyra NSW.  Hannah loves sharing her passion for aerials and technique through teaching.

Christine has been an aerialist for 5 years, she started  her journey after series of back related injuries forced her to rethink how she moves her body. Christine is passionate about aerials with her training mainly focused on Trapeze and Lyra followed closely by Hammock and Silks. Christine’s debut solo performance was at Eternity Showcase in March 2021 she has also previously performed at the Australian Circus Festival alongside our Aerial Enchantment instructors – Shelley, Sam, Cate & Rachel.

Jorja has been training on silks for 7 years and has also started training on hammock, lyra and cube along the way. Before starting aerial training Jorja did dance for several years and left to find a new passion in aerial arts. Jorja performed in School Spectacular in 2023 and competed in Bend The Air in 2023. She loves working with kids and helping them to develop their skills in aerials.

Loren has been doing aerial since 2021, starting with Lyra and then Silks. She has a passion for Lyra and is always looking for new and challenging moves in order to better her skills. As well as aerial arts, she has a passion for other creative arts such as singing and occasionally dancing (if she must). She is very friendly and fond of bad jokes, always looking to make people laugh. She always has an engaging story to share. She started teaching in 2024 and is excited to help new students pursue their passions for aerial in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Holly started training on silks in 2016. Before silks she did gymnastics and turned to silks for a new challenge. Holly started training at Aerial Enchantment in 2019 where she also developed a love for hammock. She has a passion for helping others to become stronger on the apparatus and achieve their aerial goals.

Kate discovered her passion for Aerial at the age of 12 and has been pursuing her love for hammock in particular for 7 years at Aerial Enchantment as a student . Beyond the studio she has competed in Bend The Air and harbours a passion for other creative pursuits such as art. She began teaching in 2025 where she found that she loves helping kids and adults alike strengthen their skills in a variety of apparatus’s.
